A new variety of granite - red travertine stone has been found in Hebei.
Newly discovered red travertine stone belongs granite material. Its lithology is the K-feldspar porphyry. The color of red travertine stone is meat red, about 0.5cm in diameter, pore size, irregular, porosity of red travertine is about 15%. Main mineral is feldspar, weak idiomorphism, about 20% dark minerals, rare quartz.
The discovery of red travertine stone adds a new member to the stone family, provides a new material to the application. The physical properties of red travertine stone is the same as black basalt. They have more extensive use of decorative property and can be used for wall decoration, can also be used for indoor decoration.
