Monopoly On Marble Factory Export Slammed

All Pakistan Marble Mining Processing Industry and Exporters Association (APMMPIEA) has rejected the monopoly of one marble factory on the export of the commodity to Afghanistan.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, president APMMPIEA, Mohammad Haroon said Afghanistan is a free trade centre and they are also favouring free trade. He said the selection of only one marble factory from more than 2000 marble factories and establishing of its monopoly on the export is injustice. Haroon demanded the government to cancel the license granted to White Zone Marble Factory.
He said Pakistan export marble worth $3 million to Afghanistan and about 100,000 workers mostly Afghans are working in the marble factories that have been threatened by the decision of the government of Afghanistan.
